Pricing for temperature mapping

View pricing and cost factors for temperature mapping, data logger rental, protocol, reporting and full on-site execution. Choose the support that fits your space, audit pressure and internal capacity.

In brief

The cost of temperature mapping depends on the chosen approach. You can start with data logger rental only, carry out the measurement yourself with protocol and reporting support, or outsource the full on-site execution. This keeps the level of support aligned with your space, documentation needs and internal capacity.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about costs and pricing

Practical answers to common questions about temperature mapping costs, data logger rental, reporting and full on-site execution.

Use these answers as a first indication. For a targeted price estimate, we assess the space, measurement duration, reporting needs and desired level of support.

Costs and price structure

What does temperature mapping cost?
The cost of temperature mapping depends on the chosen approach. At Temperature Mapping Europe you can start with data logger rental, carry out the measurement yourself with protocol and reporting, or outsource the full on-site execution. This keeps the level of support aligned with your space and internal capacity.
What does data logger rental cost?
The price for data logger rental depends on the number of loggers and the rental period. You receive calibrated data loggers that are ready to use for your mapping. If you also need a measurement plan and an audit-ready report, rental can be combined with our protocol and reporting option.
Which factors determine the price of temperature mapping?
The main price factors are the type and number of spaces, the size of the space, the required number of data loggers and the chosen service option. The desired lead time and the measurement location also affect the final price. If you are unsure which option fits, use the service-level selector.

Number of loggers and service option

How many data loggers do I need for my space?
The number of data loggers depends on the volume, shape and risk zones of the space. Small rooms require a different approach from large warehouses or cold rooms. The logger placement wizard helps estimate how many measurement points and data loggers your space needs, including a proposed placement.
What is the difference between data logger rental only and a full project?
With data logger rental, you carry out the mapping yourself using calibrated loggers. In a full project, we prepare the measurement plan, place the loggers, execute the on-site work and prepare the qualification report. The intermediate option, protocol and reporting, is intended for companies that want to carry out the measurement themselves but do not want to prepare the measurement plan or audit-ready report internally. This is often the most cost-efficient option.

Reporting, duration and seasons

Do I receive an audit-ready report for the temperature mapping?
For options that include reporting, you receive a qualification report aligned with GDP and EU GMP Annex 15 expectations, including protocol, results, hot- and cold-spot analysis and conclusions. The report can be used as evidence during audits and inspections.
How long does temperature mapping take?
The measurement duration is usually at least 24 hours for small areas and longer for larger areas, so daily fluctuations are captured. The total lead time, including protocol and reporting, depends on the scope of the project and the chosen option. Also read how mapping differs from monitoring.
Do I need to measure in both summer and winter?
For full qualification under GDP, measurements are often performed in both a warm and a cold period to capture temperature extremes. Whether this is needed depends on your space and risk assessment. A two-season mapping affects the final price. Read more about requalification and repeated mapping.

Not sure which level fits?

Send the type of space, applicable storage condition and whether you want to carry out the measurement yourself. We will advise which approach fits your space, application and documentation needs.
