Not a random grid, but a smart measurement-point proposal based on guidelines, product locations and room layout.
Mark the product zones in a 3D view and let the wizard create a first proposal for logger positions in your warehouse, cold room or storage area. The tool uses floor area, height, storage layout and risk areas as its basis, in line with principles from WHO, GDP and ISPE. Ideal as preparation for temperature mapping, a quote request or an internal review.
The output is an indicative starting proposal. For GDP, GMP or audit purposes, a final assessment of the actual situation remains necessary.
Frequently asked questions
About the 3D mapping tool
The tool is meant as a quick visual starting point. The final measurement setup should still be justified in a protocol or dossier.
Which rooms is this tool for?
It is intended for warehouses and storage rooms at 15 to 25 °C and cold rooms at 2 to 8 °C. Standalone fridges, freezers and ULT freezers often require a different approach and are not included in this version.
Is this a final mapping plan?
No. The wizard creates a practical starting proposal. For GDP, GMP or audit purposes, the final logger placement must be checked, recorded and justified in a protocol or dossier.
How does the tool estimate logger numbers?
It combines product zones, selected height levels, a guideline spacing of about 8 to 12 metres depending on room size and risk profile, and marked risk zones such as doors, cooling units and unusual airflow.
Why do I need to mark product zones?
Because not every empty corner is automatically relevant. A point is most useful where product is stored, where airflow is critical or where a risk zone is intentionally assessed.
What do I get after completing it?
You receive a visual 3D starting proposal, an indicative logger count and a short rationale per measurement point type. This helps you choose a logger set, protocol or dossier level faster.
Can Temperature Mapping Europe review the proposal?
Yes. You can have the result checked or use it as the basis for data logger rental, a mapping protocol or a full qualification dossier.
In temperature mapping, the assessment ultimately depends on the warmest and coldest relevant product positions. Learn how these points occur and how they translate into a justified monitoring position.
